It's a have/have not kind of thing.
You see, villains that don't have the powers of the typical super-hero feel they need to do something to "show them up." As it requires both power and mobility (because nobody likes to sit back waiting for a beating), robots are made to order. (They also give the hero something else to beat on instead of the builder.)
The problems start when the power levels need to be scaled up to match/beat the hero. More power (both offensive and defensive) requires larger components. Large components means more power is required for mobility, which forces that to be scaled up as well. Eventually, the builder either settles for "good enough" or thinks they've reached an efficiency plateau.
That's when the big pile of junk is sent on "walkies"...

Cool pic and I like your take. Though I have to say, not sure what I think about the costume >.O

I saw that one, and while combining Mr Peabody and Jack the Ripper is kinda sick, Peabody probably would have solved that case...Unless you were suggesting Mr Peabody WAS the Ripper ^.^;
I've done a "realistic" Rocky and Bullwinkle but I think your take would be much more interesting :D

Now, send him after the producers of the movie!
What drives the villanous madmen that make live action mods of the classics? it's like they dont even try to have some ties to the source material. UD was an ANTHRO dog, in a world where humans and anthros co-exist without thinking it strange.
As soon as I saw the trailer, I vowed to never see that movie unless I am too drunk to care. Still have not seen it.
