A few photos under the microscope from my old work.
This photograph was taken using confocal laser scanning microscopy. It is a live root of a transgenic seedling of Arabidopsis modified with green fluorescent protein (GFP). This protein is associated with a component of the cytoskeleton - actin. This allows you to see the glow of actin microfilaments inside root cells under the action of a laser beam of a certain wavelength (478 nm).
