I worry about it a lot, too, sometimes. I generally say, "Ah, fuckit" whenever I do. The few times I've drawn in pencil, though, it turns out as rubbish, so I don't bother.
But it's taken me years and years to get this comfortable. And to be able to ignore people telling me I should sketch it out in pencil first. Yeah, fuck that.
