Kris Kringle actually comes from Christkind, Christ child aka Baby Jesus, who brings the presents in parts of Germany

Heh! I've never met a Saint before. Does one bow to show proper respect? I've also noticed the European "Saint Nicholas" has a group of other character accompanying him. Who is the crowned Lady in white? The winged Angel is a nice touch.

Sint Nicolaas / Sinterklaas (dutch)
Judging by the signs this is in Germany, though

zero association with christmas, although the Nick from christmas was based off of Nicolaas' appearance
