I usually do not add long descriptions to my uploads, because either I cannot think of something proper or because I do not want to influence the viewer's own interpretation of the drawing (if it is not completely obvious). This time I decided to go more into detail why I commissioned this.

This is an music inspired commission based on the song "Das Lächeln eines Toten" by Samsas Traum and how I interpret it. I think of the "smile of a dead" as some kind of mask, a layer of shadows on your face, that distorts it and steals all positive feelings from you.
The song ends with a section about trying to get free of this mask, "I do not want to smile like this anymore", and this part of the song is what I wanted to show in the commission. I wanted to rid it off from my face.

I didn't choose this song randomnly (as I sometimes do with a few references I made in other submissions). I actually listen to this song often when I feel depressed and it helps me to deal with such episodes.
This also makes it a much more personal and darker commission compared to what I have commissioned before. I consider to this more often from now on. My character Wyoryn has become more than the face how I show myself in the fandom and I want to commission more art that isn't only pure fucking metal as I typically do (although my liking for these haven't changed).
