Atamisk the Gryphon for Kangaroo-County-Productions
This is for
Kangaroo-County-Productions whose character is a Gryphon who is a cop for the City of Kangaroo...
I have known a few cops, but in the city they wear flack jackets. So I added a bit of a spin to the uniform. I figure that the city may be peaceful in the most part but when you deal with criminals that may have sharp claws & fangs then you have to have some body armor.
but that is up to
Kangaroo-County-Productions.
I am so flattered that someone also wanted me to do a drawing for a character...
I had quite the challenge in this one... It seems that it was hard for me to do an anthro with a beak. So I had to look for some references & learn how to get the knack of it. I wanted him to look like he had authority & yet street wise to any jive that may go down...
The symbol in the back is what I downloaded from
Kangaroo-County-Productions & pasted it on the background & his shield.

YOUR WELCOME! But your not just being nice? I mean even with the body armor & the weapon too? I am so relieved. I really was stressing if I did your character justice. Drawing your character was a really a great learning experience for me. I had to study eagles & uniforms. So I had fun drawing this!
Well I mean something more like Dragon Skin... See I figure that if a Bear goes rampant, then a heavy duty vest wouldn't kick it. Ir would have to be something stronger....now I figure that Dragon Skin would be the ticket... that is a hardcore vest that is lighter...besides I had to wear the old flak jackets six days a week, even to the bathroom, so you get used to the weight even though it is a pain in the ass.
I loved the old ones though. I only got to play with it long enough to want one. I don't like the new lightweight shit they want now a days. I just don't have the same reassurance that the weight gave me.
and on the subject of bears.

Personally I love the new light weight. I had to deal with back pain caused with wearing the old vest for over 12 hours at a time. Especially around the holidays. I hated it to the point where I was almost in tears with them. I rather deal with dodging motar rounds than wearing that...almost of course...
I also know that with the new vest form better to the body, allowing better maneuvering. I rather go for the lighter model, check it out on youtube & check out the demo on it from Modern Weapons.
