I decided that December is going to be something special, a little month dedicated to one of my favorite obscure characters from Archie!
Cortez the Vagabond is a character that was going to be introduced in Sonic Universe #95. Which if you're a comic buff... you know that issue never came out. That was the the issue being worked on when Archie had to cancel the Sonic comics entirely, preventing this handsome fella from getting an official debut.
But with the power of the internet, we've changed that! Fans took to finishing the comic themselves, inking all the pencil work that was made, getting in colors, and adapting some/most/all? of the dialogue therein.
Being as this guy does NOT get much love (I honestly think aside from like, one piece on deviantart, the only work of him is stuff I've commissioned), I took it to the next level and got him his own 3D model with the help of
FeetyMcFoot!
While officially, Cortez does have some fancy maroon boots, I decided that this dude needs to be barefoot. We don't have enough barefoot swordsmen around, and his attitude gives me vibes of a Spanish Inuyasha.

I actually did commission a pic once of Infinite and Cortez in a swordfight! But it's only on my Inkbunny, not here. But that'll change since this month is all about Cortez.
