Also is this based on any particular ancient beliefs? I'm sure I've heard about it somewhere, possibly in ancient slavic spiritual beliefs but I'm not entirely certain.

Aww.

Yikes! That 4th panel scared me. To me, it looks like Zev is stepping off a cliffside.

On the other hand, LOVE the perspective on panel 7. It's been a long time since I've seen any comic artist draw that kind of image warping.

ah yes, the shot where the character is Losing there mind/super fucking scared.
I think you did a very good job with the shot. THough kinda hits funny when the characters eyes on their head lol.
