This piece isn't to be taken all that seriously.
Basically, shortly after recreational cannabis was legalised in Canada, I had an idea for a dumb little, humourous stoner song somewhat vaguely inspired by Afroman's song: "Because I Got High," although I envisioned more of an Austin Country sort of genre, a bit closer to Willie & Waylon's duet: "It's All Goin' To Pot".
Since there are still numerous jurisdictions, where med-mar is still not legal, let alone rec-mar, unless one gets a medical cards, I thought of some poor amateur musician schlub in some place such as Dripping Springs, TX, who is trying to convince his (or perhaps her) doctor to sign off on a medical card.
(Dripping Springs is a town west of Austin TX, which is where the legendary 1972 Dripping Springs Reunion was held, which developed into Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic from 1973, onwards - It is still a musical mecca to this day)
I wound up sitting on this for quite a while, just because I thought it was too dumb to post, but recently I changed my mind on that, thinking that some folks might find it a bit amusing.
