In a dual narrative between Oren and the One-Eyed Wolf, the story delves into the past and provides insight into the wolf pack, as well as Oren’s motivations for starting the Hollow. I love the character development here - seeing Rask struggle with what he was born as vs what he desires to be, combined with having no real guidance or learning to go by. In a lot of ways this is a reflection of the lives we live: transitioning from a child to an adult, trying to figure shit out... being a tree-noodle....

I knew that and yet I had not thought of that. I was thinking they'd still be in the wood's, especially after Hemlock is out to contain the canine problem and keep them from leaving the wood's at all.
It wasn't making sense to me. Them still being in the wood's yet the different background, what can be seen of it, in the last panel.
But after what you said I'm thinking that they left the wood's before Hemlock set out to kill them.
