So, this was an entry in a short story contest, which was also a class project. The only guideline was that it had to be about nature. After that, you were on your own. Most people did something along the lines of "And then Timmy was whisked away to the magical world of flowerland!" However, I wanted to be unique. After a little haggling, I finally talked my teacher into the idea that pokemon were a part of nature too. XD

After that, I thought. "Okay, how can pokemon be related to people in a fun and interesting way?" After reading a few earlier entries, I noticed a few of them were the "Save our forest" types. And after that, it all just kind of fell into place.
