"Bullshit. There's no way," the Golden Retriever shook his head, "You did not knock up a Direwolf."
Lowell shrugged, "I don't know what to tell you. We've been dating for the last few months. It was bound to happen."
The German Shepherd swirled the plastic cup in his hand. The red cup just as bright as his t-shirt. He still had a good half of his drink left.
"You can put up that tough guy act as much as you want," Doug continued, "but there's no way. A Direwolf dude? You could have come up with a more convincing lie."
The Golden Retriever had gotten to the party late, realized he knew nearly no one there, and proceed to chill and talk with the one person he recognized.
"Whatever man. Lucian is around here somewhere. I'll introduce him you two, and you'll see."
It was as if mentioning the Direwolf by name had summoned him. Out of the corner of Doug's eye a massive wolf walked over to the talking canines. He was wearing a bright pink t-shirt that had rolled up over the wolf's belly. It was so large and stretched that a faint red hue was visible around the Direwolf's popped out navel.
The Golden Retriever's eyes widened. The wolf was massive. Lowell was taller than he was, and Lowell's ears barely went past the wolf's shoulders. The wolf had to be nearly eight feet tall.
"Hey, can we get going," the Direwolf said, placing a hand on Lowell's shoulder, "The pups are really acting up and my feet are killing me."
The Direwolf's face was noticeably concerned.
"Sure, hun," the German Shepherd responded, placing his hand around the Direwolf's waist, "This is Doug by the way. He's an old friend," Lowell turned his head back to Doug, a shit-eating grin plastered across his face, "Doug, this is my boyfriend Lucian."
