Another year later and much has changed. I'm working on advancing my driver's license, learning to cook, and... well, I became a furry artist! I do have to admit that my relationship with the town itself hasn't progressed much yet, nor has any meaningful relationships sparked. However, the place is surrounded by nature which looks quite beautiful. It's a good place to take walks, aside from the increase of insects which is a little worrisome, especially the stinging ones. Don't have to worry about bugs during the wonderful winter wonderland though!
As for my old home, it's still on my mind, though I'm not missing it as much now. Fortunately I was able to revisit my old neighborhood this year to see my friends and some nostalgic locations. It was the most unusual feeling to return to where I used to live, like I'm a visitor to my old home. Kind of freaky how much of an upgrade my old house got from it's new residents, which seems nearly unrecognizable at a glance. A few more years and the rest of my old place will be different, and I'll probably have moved further on too.
Some vent art again, though more positive this time.

Although moving to a new place is challenging, it can also be a new opportunity to branch out and try new things and meet new people. Sure, you may not know your new town fully or the people there, but it never hurts to put yourself out there. find places that involve what you like- If you like painting (as an example), find some local events or gatherings for it and start talking to people there, make connections. Even if it's just becoming acquaintances, it's better than knowing no one, and there isn't much to lose, right?
I personally feel that irl friends and people have much more of an impact than online ones- sure, online friends can help, but all you see of them is how they present themselves. You know the profile picture, not the icon. Irl engagement has more of a direct impact because you can meet the person face to face and talk to them, see their expressions and reactions, and can interact with them. That's just my take, anyway. I hope things start to go your way.
