i rememebr when i first discovered my liking for action scenes. i must have been 15 or so ? it was something i didn't know i had a knack for. prior to dedicating myself fully to comics i only ever drew fairly static scenes. just still poses, mabe faces. but drawing movement like this is really fun, tilting the panels, adding speelines, contorting bodies, catching the flow of movement... it's a great challenge.

it's also something that i learned entirely from reading manga. Western comics never had that sort of dynamic flow manga had. It was so much more cinematic. You could *feel* the action, feel the impact. I wanted to be able to do that too.
