This was a recreation of the time when they first met - the were out bowling with a group of friends... and Lucifur looked over at Dezu to see that she was looking a bit sad, and he wanted to cheer her up, but didn't know how. So he ran over, tossed her over his shoulder, and ran away shouting "Mine!!" She was shocked but started to laugh... ^.^
The artwork was done with micron pen and acrylic paints on 11"x14" illustration board.
The characters are copyright Lucifur and Dezuketi.

I used a few different references for the look of the place, but I did notice there are a lot of similarities between the various places I saw - "Cosmic Bowling" is still a big thing I guess, hence the space background... ^.^ I didn't put any bumpers in, though - I felt like making everybody bowl the hard way XD.

I have a bowling alley by that name! It's located near Jacksonville if I'm not mistaken. Been there a few times, and this looks just like it!
You did a great job at capturing the reflected look on the wood. If you ever did a piece like this again, the glow in the dark look and black-light theme would be awesome. c:

Second of all: Everything else in this picture is also wonderful :) Spectacularly done. Loving the glossy reflection on the floor. I might have selected a slightly different angle as opposed to dead on, but this already looks horrifyingly challenging as it is.

Dude!! That fox better put some bowling shoes on or his claws are going to scratch up that lovely floor and ruin it for all the bowlers out there!! I mean seriously, does he not have any respect for those of us trying to have a nice skid free floor here?
Awesome picture! Bowling is definitely one of my favorite pasttimes, and you have really captured the look and feel of a bowling alley. Only thing missing are the names of the folks who've bowled 300 games there.

Back in high school, I did pick up an equally cute (but not so gorgeously tailed) girl and threw her in the lake, but nothing came of it. Nowadays, with the bone spur between my shoulderblades and the catch in my lower back, I would just collapse in a heap, and she would be even less impressed.

But you did a fantastic job, you're one of the few artists I know that makes sure to keep the level of skill and detail equal between environment and characters. Making the picture looking "complete" all around.

Sometimes, to cheer a person up, you need to do something weird and unexpected. One time I was at a customer service desk at a walmart waiting and saw a girl who was obviously very unhappy and crying, two employees were talking to her and it was clear they were not making her feel better. So I went over to her, told her that I couldn't help but notice she was crying (she was embarrassed to be caught crying) and told her that such a lovely person should have no reason to cry. Then I held out my hand as if to shake hers. Twisted it and kissed the top of it. She immediately smiled and I later learned that had turned her day around.

I haven't been Bowling in years, I wonder why because I loved it...
We do go ice skating sometimes though, me and my wife, much to her amusement because I keep falling over at times.
What's funny though is that I introduced her to ice skating, and now she's excellent at it while I haven't improved one bit =p
Maybe some day I should have you make a recreation like this about a signifficant moment of my life, such as how I proposed to my wife. But that's gonna be a big piece no doubt as there was a large crowd...perhaps something to save for for the future for our anniversary ^__^
