Hah, cheers buddy—I do consider how much dialogue I put into these things, and I worry that Brokul getting advice might come off to the reader as preachy, when my goal is really just to show a character willing to learn from others around him.
In any case, I'm trying to aim for these lessons learned playing a role within the context of the story—so if the words are wise, then woo, that's great!
But the words might also be a bit of a clue as to what'll happen in the future...!

Well gosh, thanks muchly for that man—I mentioned in a comment above I'm really focused on the characters trying to teach and learn from each other, but part of me realizes it might seem like I'm lecturing the audience, lol.
But, I hope that by the end of the story, these little conversations will actually turn out to be clues to various plot points...!
