Poor green dragon dude which I'll name ... uuuh... he'll be nameless for now! Anyway said dragon thought that this particular ice looked tasty ...

What hell made him think it would be a good idea to lick the ice on a pole, silly dragon you're supposed to be smart.
In fact, I know exactly what happened now. The dragon was so horny that he hallucinated that the pole was actually a giant penis and the ice was some form of cum. This is clearly the only logical explanation as to why he'd lick the pole.
