[Thought I would post a few more things before the year is over.]

These are my two refugee Cardassian characters that end up on the USS Moskau.

Both are artists, Kala is an artsty multi media artist [mostly working in clay] and Gil is writer. They were fleeing from a very politically troubled Cardassia Prime when the Moskau picked up their distress call. They lost control when they took heavy fire from an unknown ship, their shuttle was heavily damaged, navigation and two out of three of the thrusters were disabled. When Captain Jookiba picked them up, they were barely alive. They both pleaded asylum and the Captain took them in willingly after hearing Gil’s story.

Like most Cardassians, they have a hidden side, more so Gil than Kala. Kala is soft spoken, kind, and thoughtful, Gil is a little grittier, loves a good laugh, and socializing. He is a storyteller by nature and that’s what he spends most of his time doing. Gil and Kala care very much for each other, they’re practically love sick birds at times. Both of them being artists, they are very romantic at heart.

Because Meeka and Kala both have an interest in clay, they become close friends. They spend time together in the holodeck creating pottery together when Meeka is off duty. Meeka gets a chance to improve her skills since Kala is more experienced.
