Water sprites (by ChiralChimera)
The pic was inspired by this song
Witchcraft is a rather ambiguous art.
In the collective imagination, a witch is usually seen as a bad and treacherous hag,
capable only of using the powers of nature to hurl curses or harm others.
Yet, witchcraft is also the basis of some of the most beautiful wonders that magic can offer.
Nonetheless, the foundations of white magic are rooted within witchcraft itself.
For example, it allows those who use it to communicate with the world hidden beyond the veil of reality,
allowing them to enter into communion with forces and creatures as secret as they are fascinating.
The primordial energies of the earth, which are so intrinsically linked to ancient and forgotten rituals,
find meaning and musicality in the evocation formulas that witches pour out during the casting of a spell.
Silva, as an enchantress, sees witchcraft as an art useful for doing good,
but also for exploring new possibilities that "common" magic doesn't even seem to consider.
After all, who wouldn't like to be able to bend the elements to their will, for example?
Although the domain of fire is the closest to her,
the vixen over the course of her long years of study has learned how to shape the other three natural elements as well.
In fact, her magic allows her to dialogue, through persuasive dance movements and Latin whispers,
with the elementals and the spirits of the four natural elements.
Of all of them, however, water is the one that gives her the greatest satisfaction.
It is not uncommon to find her near some lake surrounded by greenery to "converse" amiably with the sprites who live within it.
Her feet gently caressing the surface of the water without sinking, and curls and small sprays of water moving between her arms like the ribbons of an artistic gymnast,
producing graceful and harmonious forms as her magic shapes the water to her taste.
A practice that has in itself the rudiments of a child's game, and yet clearly demonstrates the control of an enchantress who knows her stuff.
The vixen dances with her eyes half closed, letting the water itself suggest the motion of her steps.
And to a more attentive ear, the small laughs that rise from the curls of water from time to time as the show of shapes continues will not go unnoticed.
Voices and sounds that belong to those who have made the lake their home: the water sprites~
I surely love to commission pieces about witchery stuff, especially with Silva involved ^^
This piece was made by the very talented
ChiralChimera, an artist that was a real surprise :D
Her style is simply awesome, and definitively it was worthy to give her the task to shape my Silva in such a pleasant scenario!
Be sure to visit her gallery and give her your support, please~
