Those are nifty weapon. Sometimes even more versatile than their bladed counterparts. I did an exercise once where myself and a group of two others infiltrated a "compound" using only boken, making them act as levers, platforms, and the like, to scale walls, cross gaps, all sorts of things. It was really cool. And the non lethal potential was an added bonus. Gave new awareness of how to use what you have at hand in situations. Boken get the thumbs up!
