While wandering through the forest, I noticed a random man taking pictures of his surroundings.
When I approached him, he freaked a little. I did my best to calm him down and show him my peaceful intentions.
We slowly got into a conversation and he began to calm down and got more open towards me. He told me that he's a wildlife and nature photographer as profession and he's collecting material for his newest collage he's working on.
He showed me his work by handing me a volume of his recent published work. The book was filled with pictures of plants, animals, and landscapes, accompanied by small descriptions, and text describing the area, where the pictures were taken, in more detail.
I was fascinated by the pictures and asked him how he took them.
He showed me his his bulky camera and how it's operated. (With all the hikers coming through regularly, technology is not that alien to me.)
He let me take some pictures of him and our surroundings.
When it was time to say goodbye, I asked him if he wants to take some pictures of me before he leaves. At first he thought I was joking, but he quickly realised I wasn't.
So he told me where I should stand and what to do.
Always good to see humans who appreciate nature and don't try to destroy it.
