something i did to figure out what i wanted xoywrens to look like. while 2d sketching is neat for concepts, i find that jumping straight into 3d modeling is a way more helpful as you can figure out what things would look like from multiple angles at once. in 2d its very easy to sketch something, go to 3d and realise it wouldnt quite work out that way lol (which is a very magical thing about 2d art, the capacity to make things that wouldnt work out look beliveable but still... not the objective here when tryina visualise something)

this was the first 3d portrait i did for them, i'll probs edit it again - its lookin good, but i feel like its yet to reach where i'd like xoywrens to look like. im carving something that'd make it more obvious that they're capybara inspired.
