This dragon was originally intended to be a part of a Commodore 64 demo which I never managed to finish. So since I had the creation process saved, I present it with that as well - enjoy! :3 (Click it to see the process)
Technically it would display on the C64 the same way like these cheetahs, although I don't have a .prg for this one. It would not be hard to produce it. This image is a very little trickier though for that it has some extra sprites in the top and the bottom border.
For those who don't know the Commodore 64's graphic capabilities were displaying 2 colors in each 8x8 block of the image at this resolution from a fixed 16 color palette. Additionally it had up to 8 24x21 pixel sprites (a single color each) which with some coding tricks could be made in more, but any line of the graphics could still hold only up to 8 of them. This image utilizes this too. It also utilizes a rapid swapping between two images (known as interlacing) - if you load up the cheetahs mentioned above, you may notice it (In an emulator - on the real machine due to the optimizations it is not really likely to be visible).
Well, I have several such pixellings laying around, for Cheetaan Legacy for example I am mass-producing 16 color PC pixels :p (Which I won't show until the game is all done).
