FEATURING NISHI WHO BELONGS TO:
nishi
The fun thing about the internet is that it allows us the opportunity to participate in the things we like in whatever way we feel most happiest in doing so. This in mind, one's age becomes skewed as their online personification can range from a wise, old man to a dino-duck toddler who's still in diapers.
However, despite how we may feel and/or may act while we are on the web, it is almost impossible to stay in-character forever. This is especially true when we happen to build friendships with individuals that go beyond simply engaging in the good times we may share on sites like FA and the like.
As such friendships do occur, I now take a nod from the anime .Hack://SIGN[/i] when I note how interesting it is when we go out of character and act like our true selves around someone we may have never met in real life. In such a case, the person on the other end is only familiar with your online personification and, thus, the scene depicted above can occur.
In simpler terms, isn't it interesting to think of how a little dino-duck in a diaper could suddenly start spurting out relationship advice to someone who, in character, is older than them while, at the same time, younger than they are in real life?
The above point truly illustrates how unique the world within the internet truly is. No where else can so many people forget age differences, disabilities, and nationalities in an effort to find happiness not only for themselves, but with others who are just like them as well.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
The conversation occuring in this comic s not[/b] reflect anything more than a potential[/i] dialogue between two friends whose ages may differ in real life. I actually considered a variety of other topics that older folks may think[/i] they are experts on and went with this as it was more interesting for the purpose than, say, job advice, moving, why it's important to stay in school, etc.

Haha, that's the neat part about the net! 8D And I don't mind this or think anything written in the picture's weird, so no worries. :3 It's funnier thinking a little toddler ducky would be all married and have useful adult advice like that, more funny than it is talking about taxes and job stuff or whatever. :B And by forgetting ourselves a bit I think it helps us be ourselves more too! :D So, despite potential good and bad things about the situation, it makes for lots of neat situations (like this) online! :3
Glad .hack was a good idea to send! 8D

I'm glad you enjoyed my fun take on .hack//SIGN with the fun times we all have here on FA and beyond. Truly, the internet does make for some fun situations that, if you stopped to think on them, are really funny and quite cute. :)
I am also glad you were okay with me using Nishi in this depiction. It was the first idea that popped in my head and, well, I do best when I don't argue with an idea. Just thinking of how everyone's favorite, orange yoshi would seem hearing such quackery from a lil' dino-ducky. I mean, seriously, shouldn't the baby ducker be more about plushies and soft blankets and hugs than talking about being married? <LoL!>

Heehee! It's also awesome how friendships forged via one way can be deepened by another. I've met friends via the furry fandom that deepened, or already had friends and then been like "Hey, I'ma furry" or babyfur or kinky or whatever and then finding out these other frinds have these other side to them.
Like I mentioned one time, i was rather amused when I was in some babyfur chat room a few years ago and I was discussing all sorts of stuff with another member... and this wasn't a strictly in character room or anything. So we were debating the merits of various ways of making a martini, and then all of a sudden some members were all like ":O OMG Toroth, what are you doing talking about this" and I realize this was because I didn't really break character in that room and the Toroth character was their sole point of reference, but I was also having a bad day and I snapped. All caps and all like "Hey! Guess what? I'm not really a toddler dragon! I am a 25 year old man! I swear! I have sex! I whack off! And I LIKE MARTINIS, DAMMIT." And then I logged off in a huff.
It was kind of immature of me to go off on a rant and go off on them like that, but at least now I have a funny story.

And yeah, of course, in character,
sedric is Toroth's adoptive older brother. In actuality, I am older than him by 2 or 3 years. But it all fits. :D
Also, for what was a bit of a quick idea sketch, again, your technical skills just keep improving. The proportions are near;y spot on, your color balance and shading and value is great, too.

It truly is amazing all the fun times we can have through the internet. Sure we may have times where we break character and really throw folks who are 100% about being in-character for a loop, but it is always all in good fun as we not only learn more about ourselves, but develop our one-of-a-kind creative and playful sides as well.
I also think it's great how you and Sedric have a neat story arc going. In real life the age difference would make things kind of hard to play out. However, in-character and the web, the fun is possible as the mind allows for us to not dwell on such typical, social standards and, instead, focus on the great times we can have with other individuals' creative selves.
The best equation outside of the web is movies. We don't go to movies to see what we already know is there. We go to the movies to bend our realities for that moment of time the film is playing to realize how, although life may seem staightforward, there are tons of "What ifs?" out there to keep it interesting. :)

How very true. *Hugs the clever squirrel* If it's one thing I've learned, it is that all my babyfur pals are super nice people who are just a delight to hang around with.
Furthermore, if I may add, some even have super talents that exist outside of the realm of FA, too. *Nudge-nudge* You should know that, since reading J&A[/i] I will forever recognize you as an amazing, creative colleague in the field of children's literature. Whether it's me, you, or both of us, I do hope our family friendly works can get the quality recognition they deserve. After all, particularly with J&A[/i], there's just too much adorable, thoughtful, and inspirational moments to not let it be enjoyed by those within its target demographic. :)

Agreed. Though, as I've found, most babyfurs are folks who, in real life, just genuinely like being friendly to other people. Moreover, they are eager to help, enjoy cutesy times, and love to cuddle and snuggle.
Overall, being lovable and loving types, it only makes sense that a babyfur depict their persona as, well, a baby / toddler. After all, what else is affiliated with innocent, kindness, and loving feelings than a cutie-wootie furry or scaly with big eyes and a nappy?
