Can't really articulate what it is that makes this so appealing to me. I guess the simplest would be to say it's not a huge step off from something in a dream.

I like you chose to keep it blurry, not only to imply the effects of the rain but also to allow us to focus on the scene, not on details.

Yeah I try to refrain from 'finishing' a piece a lot of the time because I like art where you can still see an artist's hand in the loosest form.

I saw this and the music from Traverse Town from Kingdom Hearts popped into my head... I think it fits, actually...
This is a very atmospheric piece, I like it quite a bit.
