Yesterday I watched "Bones And All", and the most striking thing about it was the portrayal of American Midwest. It was eerie - I couldn't place the movie happening in any exact era. On the surface, the scenes, cars, and props created an atmosphere of late 1970s or early 1980s. But then I realized that for the majority of people living away from Atlantic and Pacific coast, this era never really ended. I could imagine Chalamet and Russel's characters being in 2030 or 2060, and everything looking exactly the same.
