Shynell was born at the South Pole and embodies the word 'Jolly' to a fault. Often Dim-Witted, Shynell loves nothing more than seeing her friends have the best lives they can and will do anything and everything to accomplish this. However, there are a few drawbacks to this. She often forgets to make sure she's living her best life as well which, when her jolly energy is depleted, she reverts to her "Humbug State" in which she emotionally shuts down to regain her "Jolly Meter". During which her color will drain and she'll become a shut-in to all but her closest friend Annabelle.

When not going through this stage, she tends to be very ditsy and oblivious to things like the hints from Annabelle that she loves her, and is very confused when she can't cheer someone up.
