wow it's been 3 years since ive opened this account

ive posted this image 2 other times on 2 separate platforms (which will totally not backfire in any way) but id like to share it here too, im not much of a "furry" furry artist but i do like animals and non-human anthro so uhhhhhh ya

im still working on my background rendering, it's not the best and i have a tendency to become very impatient with art, so it's much more rushed than i would've liked, hopefully in the coming weeks i will improve and my backgrounds won't look so juvenile

vaarvahts are a species of hare gryphon, a genus designed to survive in high elevation polar deserts. this juvenile has discovered a sight completely foreign to him, a small icy creek cutting through the desert, surrounded by plant life and fungal trees.

vaarvahts and most of my other creatures are native to the exoplanet "Borea", the 5th planet out of 11 in its solar system. Borean plants are black and often small due to the planet being relatively far from the sun, and without much warmth or light the plants must compensate. animals too have to survive in any way they can, and many have evolved bioluminescence and extremely high body temperatures to deal with their dim, cold environment.
