Here's what it looked like after I painted up the felt surface, and also the billiard balls, which needed to be both reflective, and also (for the ones in front), slightly out of focus.
I painted all the props first, and then the characters - with the exception of the glass in front of Kendall's tail - I needed to paint his tail behind the glass before I could paint the glass itself. I also shrank the rectangle for my signature because I felt it didn't need to be as big as it was.
Apologies for the brevity of my explanation, but I'm pretty tired now.

The focus issue is something I've been studying for a while now, through photos, film, and some wildlife art I've seen - its been something I've been wanting to tackle for a while. Its not something I'll use on every piece, but its more or less a uniquity in the fandom, and a good tool for achieving realism
Hmmm... I think I know what happened there. Its something I will have to take into account in the drawing if I plan on doing the out of focus blurring - but the blurring made the blurred objects physically bigger than I had originally drawn them, as I blended outward... whoops =. Well, each piece isn't without its imperfections.. which is why I keep trying =)
