Finished version of the badge I made for myself in preperation of the Melbourne Furry Convention in Feburary 2023. Decided to make a two-sided badge, with one side showing Insignium, and the other side showing Coalt, just to portray the two different sides of my work.

And yeah, I'm using Insignium as my poster boy despite the badge holding the name Rimentus. Most of my socials has been using an image of Siggy or Coalt for quite awhile now. I guess to put it in a way people would understand, I no longer feel like I could relate to Rimentus the character any more. I don't really vibe with the whole child-like, cake-eating, silly personality that encompasses that character.
Saying that though, I don't think I have any spiritual connection with Siggy or Coalt either, but they are characters I very much enjoy drawing, and are far more representative of my work today. A more accurate representation of who Rimentus the artist is. As the years gone by, the distinction between the artist and character has grown very far apart.
The Mystery of Caketropolis was essentially my final tribute to the Rimentus character. To live eternally in that medium. I'll still call myself Rimentus, just as how everyone calls me so over the years. But if I had to pick a character to represent the bulk of my work moving forward, it would be Insignium for sure. So that's why he's on my badge, and not the grey dragon.
