Lost Canine Concept Art
Well, it's not exactly "lost" if I'm posting it, but it is artwork that only people who were on Discord saw. It was drawn sometime ago and I thought I'd share it because people are so obsessed with canines.
As for me though, I just don't get the hype.
Wolfy/foxy Artie*, despite all my personal quirks and spins added on, just feels derivative. Sure, it is easier to draw and the overall design is simpler (no horns to worry about), but ultimately it brings nothing new to the table for an actual character. We've seen all sorts of canine characters; beefy tough guys, goofy fatsos, wimpy string beans, badass rockers, mysterious druids... Basically, if you can think of the archetype, there's an anthro canine version that exists of it. And I'm more for novelty and experimentation than simply aping off of what's popular. Like this is something an AI would generate, not an actual creative artist.
*The Artie/Arthur naming usually goes to regular animal anthros and the human form, while Althazar is reserved for fantasy beings.
