I have to wonder if in your stories the characters are anthro or not. Since I have difficulty picturing a non-anthro quadruped Shinx using the monkey bars.

Even so, the story is cute and captures the essence of toddlerhood beautifully.

I always picture the characters as anthro when I write, but I completely understand the confusion, lol

They are anthro/humanoid, and that’s always how I depict characters unless stated otherwise

So glad you have continued to write your super-ultra adorable and heartwarming stories. I can definitely say that you are my most favorite author of padded stories. I also can say that you have inspired me as I continue to write my stories. Your use of words is truly inspiring in creating a scene, build a character, and everything else that makes for a good story from start to finish.

This tale was loads of fun in how it captures the thrill of experiencing the joys of the big, wide world. Our young hero paints us a picture of times long since forgotten about feeling tanbark for the very first time, entering a dark void that is extra scary given our fear of the unknown, making a friend of similar age, having a 'big kid' approve and mentor us, and understanding more of how to problem solve through playful experimentation to see what our bodies can do when interacting with simple machines and other play objects.

The moment shared between the older kids and younger kids is also quite enlightening. Our protagonist making the most of making a piddle puddle along with mushy mess in his Huggies shows of how, at his age, we have not been told, nor expected to do, otherwise. Our Pichu pal celebrating the Shinx's loaded Luvs further adds to how a diaper-dependant tot would find fun in how Pampered playmates go about doing their business.

On the flipside, our older friends have long since been shown that it is far from fun to pack their pamps with what is meant to be pushed out into a potty. They have also undergone the period of time where one's memory changes in a way that forgets what it was like to be in our padded pals' place. This is why they respond as they do just before our young hero's mommy and daddy come to aid their son in having a good rest as he processes all that he learned in such a short period of time.
