Fuyu has been helping travellers lost in heavy snowfall in the mountains for as long as she can remember. She is, after all, a yuki-onna, and while some of her kind trap and drain the life out of the humans they give shelter to, she's one of the truly kind and caring ones. She hunts and forages for her food and prepares simple but wonderful meals for those who stay at her cabin. And when the time comes that it's safe for her human visitor to leave, her cabin's true nature reveals itself, nothing but a ruined shack, and she hides away until she's certain the traveller is gone. She finds it to be a rewarding yet lonely lifestyle. During the warmer months, she unfortunately feels even lonelier, as no one needs her assistance, and she has a tough time with the weather herself when the hottest months hit. Recently, she'd found herself wanting to venture out of her usual territory and see more of Japan, maybe even more of the world, and make lasting friendships. The supernatural force that soon began urging her to set out and fight other monsters, in a way, might be both a blessing and a curse.
