I am here. Once again
Looking upon the light, I see
It retreats beyond that mountain
I know in my head I must climb it

I cannot sit and wait, the darkness approaches
But what is the right path? I ponder
My indecision, perpetual uncertainty, my life reproaches
Time is ticking, it is passing me by

But still I must think. All paths I take lead here
The perpetuity of choice, all I see are mountains and forests
They have become my happy place, stuck between fear
It's all in my head. Only in my head

I know I have what it takes to reach that light
I know I do I made it this far!
But nothing seems to change, am I doing this right?
The answer is so obvious if the result is as thus

And so something must change
In order for me to reach the light I seek
But what must as such in a world locked in estrange
The same world gave me a poisoned hand

One slight mistake a decade old
Has chained itself to my future
Against my will, my soul has sold
To a demon damned me to perpetuity

To break the chain time has taken
The light is the cure, my salvation
But the darkness comes to leave me forsaken
All my will, all my effort it ends the same

So here I sit, looking at my disappearing light, so forlorn
Pondering what can I change so my future isn't endangered?
This is the answer that evaded me since I was born. I mourn
Mourn for time lost forever

But I know deep down that I cannot stop
After all, I still remain here
So to the horizon my gaze looks atop
The next obstacle in my sights, I must overcome

So here I go, set out once more
Ready or not, time will flow
I take a deep breath and prepare for war
The future lays out for me, evermore...
