Ok, backstory:

I was a production assistant for an independent movie shooting in and around Seattle. The camera used (the one pictured on this man's shoulder) is a Canon XL-2, a beautiful prosumer camcorder, and mounted on the front is an experimental adapter so that video images set on 24 p look like film.

I have an XL-2 as well, and helped shoot a scene with another adapter they had. It was dreamy.
