Versitile Beef jerky is on the menue in the kitchens of
wetwolf. A great treat to eat as a snack or an excelllent addition when out camping and walkikng. Full of flavour and mouthwateringly tasty.
This is so amazingly delicious. I recently just moved and brought my mate and little brother with me. so needless to say I've been really poor lately and I didn't have money for Christmas presents so I purchased 2 round roasts from the butcher and am making jerky to give as Christmas presents.
Ingredients:
This marinade will be good for 1 round roast of about 3lbs
1 round roast thinly sliced and cut into strips
2 cans of coke or other dark soda, Dr. Pepper works well
Hot sauce to your liking (I use 8 drops of Vicious Viper Hot Sauce it's so freakishly hot it heated the whole batch to a back of the throat tingly)
1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup soy sauce
1tblsp of both garlic powder and onion powder
sprinkle with cracked pepper or your fave course steak seasoning before tossing in the oven.
Lay strips in a dehydrator if you have one if not use a 200 degree oven and cook for about 2-4 hours turning once half way through and drain off any meat juice that accumulates as it will not allow your meat to become jerky. I hope you enjoy this recipe I know everyone is anxiously awaiting it because most of my family has tasted it already XD
