When a demonic conflict ravaged her home on the Maless homeworld of Sanctus, Cantata became lost in the back alleys of the multiverse and eventually found her way to Known Space where she was rescued by a pancosmic expedition corps. After getting oriented in transhuman society she decided to join the corps herself for adventure and thrill, rising quickly on performance evaluations and becoming recognized as indispensable by her superiors, and then going out of her way to step on every toe necessary to get her power armor custom tailored with punk spikes. In addition to standard issue occult gear, her rifle also bears the blessing of Sanctus' goddess Irvar and its bullets are infused with magical power. She is always thirsty for trouble and eager to start it.
