Back when Edelgard was a vulpix, she ended up living in exile with her mother thanks to her uncle Arundel and Aegir, who began using her father as a puppet, slowly stripping him of power to control Adrestia and the Sevii neighboring islands.
Whole living in Crown Reef, she began to hang out with several buizels, one more particular was two buizels named Dimitri and Isabelle, whom she often hung around with, often teaching each other various things and both even enrolled at the local academy run by a teacher named Byleth as Edelgard heard stories from Siwa about a Lugia named Arthur, who commanded an army of knights and wanting to be one when she eventually returned to Adrestia to inherit the throne.
Capture and Imprisonment
They soon decided to make their way back to the capital after hearing bad and dreadful things happening there, so they decided to head back to Adrestia before there was more damage. Eventually there was chaos and anarchy as a tragedy befalls them as the carriage was turned over and she was nowhere to be found. The Mother soon made her way back to Crown Reef to alert everyone that her daughter had been missing and was presumed kidnapped by strange pokemon wearing masks.
The members who kidnapped her were members of Those Who Slither In the Dark, she was imprisoned in the cellar of the Hisui Palace being funded by corrupt nobles under Sandayu who subjugated it, along with her were several others including Lysithea and Happi, all three went under blood reconstruction, Edelgard ended up having her entire blood tampered with Gel Blood Sandayu swiped during his fails on the Diaper Beasts.
She barely survived the surgery, but gained Diaper Breathe she get from Pampaku and Pamp Fang which she got from Pampama, this surgery did come with some downsides such she went from being a Kanto ninetales, to a ninetails who lost all of her fur pigment, leaving her with icy white fur and the strain from the surgery drastically shortened her lifespan.
Several years have passed under grueling tortures and those who barely survived Sandayus goons sold to corrupt rich pokemkn to serve as weapons, pets or personal diapers. Edelgard managed to somehow get to the ports, but they were all destroyed, Sandayu and some nobles came to recapture her, Edelfard decided to jump into the ocean as she'd rather risk death than go back.
She spent several years drifting until she was found by a Braviary who flagged down a Crown Reef ship who managed to save her and tended to her injuries. She woke up several days later in an emergency room with the Crown family and Dimitri who was worried for her. Despite her recovery, she refused to speak to anyone as the emotional damage was too much, despite Dimitris encouragement.
Doctors constantly tended to her while Ranus got in touch with her retainers Hubert and Monica, they said they'd come get her so they could hear from her. When Edelgard fully recovered, she decided to walk around Crown for a scenery change, while taking in the sights, she spotted an injured Braviary on the side of the road. Feeling bad for it, she rushed it to the hospital where they would tend to it.
Dream of Abolishing Nobility
Dimitri assured her the bird would be ok, he got a closer at her and saw that she had the same turmoil as two others Dimitri knows, he told her to find the Ragtag Rogues as they could get her to talk after he told her they had the same emotional trauma. After Edelgard arrived at the Ragtag Household, she was approached by Toriel, the foster mother of the Rogues, and told her that most were out on a job, but saw she had troubling issues so she brought her to the house and prepared some tea for her.
Much to Edelgards surprise, she saw Isabelle, who sometimes hangs out with Artisan, noticing she had the same emotional problem, told her to talk to a pair of ponies upstairs. Edelgard walked in to see numerous paintings and cooking utensils, and they noticed immediately she was like them. After breaking an emotional wall down, she actually started to open up about what she went through, which Artisan related due to living with corruption and the selfish needs of others and Sandoki mentioning that nobility nearly drove them apart.
Edelgard was a little more comfortable to share her dream with them, to dismantle nobility and stamp out corrupt nobles and royalty, which both Sandoku and Artisan agreed with as they spent their whole lives like that. Edelgard, fueled by determination, decided to prepare and take back her country; after having some dinner with them, she went back to the palace.
Dimitri soon caught up with her, telling her the Braviary made a full recovery and it even wanted to be her personal mount and diaper, which she allowed and it made Dimitri happy to start seeing Edelgard smile again. Pretty soon Hubert and Monica arrived to pick up Edelgard to alert of the situation at Adrestia, he said he made a deal with the Sand Kingdom to give them shelter and plot to take back the Sevii Islands. Dimitri Edelgard a dagger as a gift, which she happily accepted and said when their ready to mobilize forces to overthrow Arundel.
On their way to the ports, she ran across a Rhyperior named Yuri who was staying a few days at Crown Reef finding someone. She saw all the weapons he made and asked him to customize a specially made axe for her, which she loved and really admired. He warned her to treat it with love and care or he'd flatten her as he showed her his hammer that was three times bigger than her
Allies in The Sand Kingdom
After arriving in the Sand Kingdom she was greeted by a Calyrex who welcomed her and was happy to aid her in taking down the nobles in Adrestia. Edelgard heard about an incident and the Calyrex was hoping aiding her would change things. He set her up in a hotel, but decided to search around.
She came across a pokemon named Constance who was in utter shock that the Sand King had the magic guilds wiped out which caused the end of her parents and the destruction of her noble house. She also came across a Blaziken named Emile riding a Spectrier that Caly abused then abandoned, who was pretending to be a guard to find his lost siblings. Constance and Emile told her that if the caly king wasn't careful, the residents would revolt thanks to a Lopunny putting on a concert.
Edelfard decided to enlist them and give them a place on the Sevii Islands when they liberated it, so the duo went to the hotel to meet up with Hubert and Monica.
Before heading back, she noticed a dog cat pokemon hybrid named Soren whom was on the brink of starvation from the guild fight. She offered him some food and a place to live in exchange for allowing with Adrestia, Soren was known to be a powerful Tactician and enlisted him to help her pick the islands apart and hearing her dream to abolish nobility, which made Soren eyes light up and swear his loyalty to her. Finally she abolished nobility among the islands, she hired several Hakko-os and Charmeleons to search for the corrupt nobles who were loyal to Sandayu and have them sent to Pamper Down.
Everyone praised Edelgard in her efforts to stamp out corruption, most nobles who weren't corrupt weren't pleased, but Edelgard promised everyone protection with the aid of her strike force. She thanked everyone who was involved and they all went home. Edelgard told Dimitri if he ever needed her help, to call.
