Jim makes his plans to reveal dragons to the world--while making a nice profit from it--while the dragons prepare to get the hell out of Dodge before anything worse can happen.

Hey look! Maybe now this story has settled on a possible antagonist. Y'know, if you don't find Jim's greediness and desire of higher social standing to be a proper man's motivation, and if you can't excuse a lack of knowledge on his part. I do feel rather satisfied with this chapter, though, even if the whole thing is just 'check out Jim's thought process!'
Comments and critique greatly appreciated.

This made me quite nervous to read. A scientist (not a deranged or foul in the head but sane and very desperate) is the most traumatic antagonist that a story can have in my experience. (Example: Michael Crichton's "Sphere"- He also wrote the book "Jurassic Park")
Great job with the story and don't worry if it's a slow chapter; low-key chapters increase the suspense and make the rest of the story that much more exciting! Character background and looks into how their brain functions are also Key to making a dramatic third-person POV Story

True, and he is doing what any seller of a rare breed should do; sell it only to Zoos. The part that he is failing to consider is the fact that Dragons are sentient beings; this is what could get him in trouble, killed or worse, in the end. (sorry if I'm being a plot spoiler to anyone ^^;
Jim's not totally a bad person, just... misinformed, greedy, unwilling to let go of what he's trying to get, etc.
A massive UN state isn't all it's cracked up to be! Being so big makes it bloated, corrupt, slow and resistant to change... Plus loss of national pride and identity.
