whats the turnover rate on meatware? its gotta be pretty good, longer than 6 years once you're sure they're not a lemon, right?

usually a purchase is for life. some beasties will die to the whims of their owners, or because they sacrifcied themselves in the line of work. by default beast heads are designed to last around 30 years, then natural cell death would set in unless the owner grants them life-prolonging treatment. whether that's worth it depends on how fond the owner is of a beastie, sometimes it's cheaper to simply buy a new one. the owners will almost surely outlive their beasties, ages of 300 years and up are no rarity among the super rich, only a matter of money.

currently he has existed for 11 years. (physically he's in his mid 20s, meatware's designed to grow into adulthood faster.) so he still got about 20 years left till his warranty runs out. :'S
