“Quick, usssse the green potion!” Mystic grabbed the green potion, tugged the cork out, and puts the bottle into your mouth as you start to float away. The concoction tastes terrible and you spit the bottle out as soon as it's emptied. You feel a growing pain inside of you. At least the ever-increasing pressure of air had stopped, but you're almost afraid of what will happen next. You balloon-body vanishes in bright flash, leaving a sparkling residue floating down from where you used to be.
“Lucky!” Mystic cries out in horror, “Are you alright..?”
“I'm fine!” You say. You reappear floating above Mystic's shoulder, a body made completely of blue vapour and trailing off bellow the legs. You almost look like a ghost. Or...
“A genie?” Mystic asks, passing his hands through your ethereal body, “Are you going to give me three wishes?”
“I am a very powerful magical being!” You correct the silly orca, “But the rule is that I must grant you three wishes.”
“Since we're friends,” Mystic asked, “Can I wish for more wishes?”
“You can wish for more wishes,” You reply sarcastically, crossing your arms, “But I still only have to grant three of them!”
“Oh, so you're like a 'literal genie,' got it...” Mystic mulled it over. Of course everybody at some point or another had grappled with the idea of what they would wish from a literal genie and how to get away unscathed. Frankly, Mystic had come up with a few ideas but they were all things Lucky could do in his normal state.
“Hmm, I wish I knew what Lucky would want,” Mystic sighs.
“Adventure, treasure, friends, and a glass of blackberry milk,” You say, “Next wish?
“Hey, that wasn't a wish, I was just thinking out loud!” Mystic argues.
“You know the risks, orca boy, be careful what you wish for!”
“I wish I could have that wish back!” Mystic says sarcastically.
“No,” You reply.
“Please? I thought we were friends?”
“Ugh, fine. I'll use your second wish to grant you back your first wish. You're back at two wishes. Happy?”
“Not really...”
“Then maybe wish for happiness then!”
“What would you do?”
“I don't know, turn you into a puppy or something, I guess.”
Mystic was beginning to understand just how irritating a literal genie could be. What a monster!
“Can I make my last two wishes at the same time?”
“Sure! Then we can get it over with faster!”
“Ok,” Mystic took in a deep breath, “I wish you would turn back into the normal Lucky and we can go on an adventure together.”
“Bravo!” You say and clap your hands, everything vanishing in a bright white light.
“Mystic? Where are we?” You ask. The two of you are standing next to each other but you can't make out your surroundings yet. Suddenly a man in a white lab coat appears.
“Hello! My name is Prof. Bamboo. Some people call me the Pokemon Professor!”
“Huh?” The two of you look at each other in confusion.
“Before you get started on your Pokemon adventure,” Continues Professor Bamboo as he eyes you suspiciously, “Are you a boy or a girl?”
