I certainly got something awesome this year's Christmas.
Behold, the dreaded Black Zarak from the Japanese Transformers series, Super God Masterforce!
Yeah, I know, he's huge; he reaches past the drawers of my wardrobe!
As a Transformers fan, I feel pretty proud to have this guy. He's got loads of detail all over his body, he uses the same transformation as the original figure from 1988, his head detaches and transforms into a robot with battle damage on his front and an eyepatch on his face. (The latter being a reference to his appearance in the Japanese Transformers series from 1990, Zone)
His terrifying Tyrant Spear is made up of six pieces and can be assembled on his city mode, or can be put on the sides of his scorpion mode with the spear's head being attached to his stinger. He's also got the two panels and the clawed shield that form the infamous Zarak Shield used by him when he was Scorponok in Japan's Transformers:The Headmasters from 1987. (Which is unfortunately not seen in this picture as it was taken on my phone vertically.)
The best thing about Black Zarak in my opinion is that he won't fall to splintered bits like some instances of his original figure from 1988 did. (The reason why those would break easily is because they were made from a type of plastic that was usually gold in colour and swirled, making it so brittle it would shatter if you looked at it funny.)
Well, I hope you got some great things this Christmas, too.
I hope you like this photo.
(Sorry if you have to turn your PC sideways to see it better, I didn't know it was gonna come outnlike that.)
Black Zarak/scorponok belongs to Hasbro and Takara
