"You clearly haven't forgotten how to build a fire, Zane. I don't know what we'd do without you." Elise said with a grin, before Eris giggled and planted a kiss on the worgen's cheek before speaking herself. "Yeah seriously, this fire is already so warm... I could party right now!" The girls both laughed warmly at the thought of a  party as they looked to their best friend.

Zane gave them both a grin before giving one last fireman's breath to stoke the flames to their fullest potential. "I try my hardest for the both of you. Don't wanna be chilly on a night like tonight." He paused before plopping on the log next to Eris. "It'll be bitter when the sun goes down." The pikachu then paused for a tense moment as he heard rustling behind them, turning his head before relaxing at the sight of three floating lights approaching from the back of their camp.

The trio's ghosts were coming back from their little adventure into the woods, having seen a shard of the Traveler earlier in the day. Titus, Zane's ghost, gave a quick glance before letting out an audible sigh.

"Sorry old pal, I didn't mean for us to get back so late" Titus began apologetically, "Alexstrasza really wanted to check out that Traveler shard we found earlier. She said she heard it singing to her." Eris's ghost pouted before she nudged Titus. "It was! And you heard it too! I had to get a better listen! AND you thought it was just as pretty as I thought it was. Right Arthus?"
Elise's ghost chirped in agreement, "Ya did say that, partner." Titus sighed again

"Yeah, you're right..." He then looked to his Guardian, whose multicolored eyes were always so hard to read. "I hope you're not mad, Zane."

Zane simply shook his head before letting out a soft chuckle, placing his hand on his ghost as if to 'pat' the Little Light's frame

"You did have us worried a little bit, but we had faith that you'd come back safe."

"We trust you guys, and know you wouldn't let us get worried" Eris spoke softly as she hugged Alexstrasza. Elise then embraced Arthus as she gave a smile. "You guys are back safe, and that's all that matters."


As their ghosts transmatted away into their Guardian's backpacks for the night, Elise yawned before turning slightly to lay against Eris, closing her eyes with a soft smile. Eris looked to Zane before looking back to her dozing girlfriend with a sleepy look.

"Sure is beautiful tonight, isn't it Zane?"
She cradled the worgen's cheek before Zane responded in a deep but soft tone, feeling tired himself as he leaned closer to the two. "It truly is, I'm grateful that no matter what chaos we face in defense of the City, we still have time to get away and enjoy the little things like this. You two are greatest treasures I've ever beheld from all the shenanigans we've gotten into over the years." He then wrapped his arm around both of their shoulders before Eris giggled.

"Aw Zane! You're so sweet. Thank for always looking out for us. We don't know what we'd do without you!"

Zane smiled big before yawning. "Thank you Eris, that means so much!" She smiled softly. They then both looked to sky, watching the stars pop into view as sun faded down below the horizon.

"May our Light never fade, bestie."

"And may it always burn bright."
