Kora is not the only one of her kind its just unknown what triggers the shift, thou she does love to go outside and save her fellow borbs from getting stuck in bird houses ((got in somehow but too round to get out)) washes the coffee off them ((they just dunk themselves into her drinks)) or just to read or leave the radio on for them, while not smart enough to speak they understand speech and can try to make crude chirps and waving wing motions to covey what they want to say ((just imagine the birds on a telephone pole bickering when a much larger bird causes the line to drop down.))

Kora was an odd burd anyway, she is afraid of heights so she rarely flew to avoid panicking and going stiff in fear ((usually bouncing off whatever she winds up flying towards))
