In fact, I prefer not to risk designing a character for pure description. Unless it is extremely simple, such as: Blue-eyed cat (Siamese). It's pretty basic stuff. But if it is much more complex or detailed, it is preferable that you at least have a digital palette and reference images from which to take patterns, hair styles, etc. ^^'
