I love gain stages, don't you?
I wish the layout were little clearer on the board.
It's Looper, Splitter, Wah, Fuzz, Compressor, Screamer, Klone, EVH, Amp
And in the effects loop: Flanger, Delay, Looper+
Tried Klone into Screamer but that was way more noisy. I'd kind of like to put it earlier in the chain because it's my only buffered bypass pedal but keep telling myself It's fine. Not like I could place it before the fuzz and the compressor and screamer buffer when they're on anyhow. With the comp set to low and dialed to unity (basically using it as a clean boost at unity so ... like a buffer) , I can't really hear any coloring switching it off and on. So... it's good, I guess?
Some day maybe I'll get an amp that will let me ditch the 5150 pedal and replace it with a ring modulator or put the Ravish back on my board. :)

Ya. I could probably reduce this. I could get the klone and screamer sounds if I turned the volume way up on the amp and twiddled the EQ but I find this more convenient and conducive to exploring during the wee hours of the morning.
I'd like to get rid of the EVH but that would entail selling my Lonestar and buying a Mesa Mark V. (Which has the lonestar circuit for cleans but also Mesa triple-rectifier channel) but I love the lonestar and it'd cost a lot just to get rid of the pedal. Also, channels 2 and 3 on the Mark V use the same EQ. That's probably end up feeling annoying, and I don't actually play a lot of metal cause my spouse hates it.
I should do some new recordings soon, I guess. Even straight into the amp with no pedals, the tonal variation of the Lonestar is pretty amazing. I'm truly a spoiled little vix.

I miss my old Marshall 100 watt. Old tube amp. Back then I had a lot of those kinds of pedals and switches (effects) and did some serious psycho-wiring on my own home made 'switch board'. I put all the pedals up at the top and made my own jacks so I could split them out and pair them up differently... or run a single if I wanted. Secondary switches (which were the ones I used with my foot) allowed me to run various setups for different sounds. Sold all that stuff, plus all my guitars and basses and such, when I moved down to where I am now. Needed the $ bad. Now I lament not biting the bullet and keeping, at least, the amp.
