Among the Apostles, Sonyu has made a reputation for herself as being a bit of a goofball when it comes to both battle and regular living; with her lack of seriousness in pressing situations being one of the main sources of annoyance for both her enemies and allies alike. Due to Sonyu’s attitude and lack of seriousness, many of her allies wonder how she was able to master a nearly forgotten martial art and become its successor. Well, in spite of her admittedly silly demeanor at times, Sonyu can focus and concentrate on something with all the seriousness of battle-hardened veteran. It can be argued that the reason for Sonyu’s seriousness and concentration in the past was due to her having something NEEDED to do; which was save her village and reestablish peace and order. However, even to this day, Sonyu has been known to continuously train so she can keep her skills razor sharp whenever she needs to use them. There have been few people who have seen Sonyu during the midst of her training; but those who have witnessed, claim it’s like watching someone COMPLETELY different. Sonyu’s strikes are scarily precise and focused, with a look of tremendous concentration plastered on the simian’s face; as opposed to her usually cheeky grin. The reason for this is due to Sonyu having a deep desire to improve her skill so she can better help others; so fear wouldn’t be something they have to experience as long as she is around. Its for this reason that Sonyu often portrays a confident in-control demeanor that constantly displays a cheeky yet reassuring smile. In truth, its not that Sonyu doesn’t take stressful situations seriously, its just she prefers to be optimistic in those sorts of situations as a way to help ease everyone else’s minds.
