This is an UnderGround Hip-Hop song I started working on today for about 2 hours, for those who dont know me or who I am, I am a UHA (underground hip-hop artist) and work with real life scenarios and transform them into poerty and literature. This song underway and wont be finished for some time, but I would like to know what you think of it ^^
The song does have a specific melody and riff to it, so it may seem weird without the beat
The first day, I was born and tame
Raised in a home that supports my way
The next day, I was lost and confused
I was wound up, bound up, broken and used
The next week, I was every shade of grey
As I walked these streets I became a stray
An outcast, just walking the line
Killing myself slowly, but thinking I was fine
The next month, I was cold and blind
Falling over sideways, going out of my mind
I was paranoid, just trying to cope
With the fact I was dead just shooting up dope
My life was a mess back when I was younger
But my actions back then have only made me stronger
I had a dream, that showed me my ending soon
It put my life in danger at straight up noon
I once heard a quote that goes a little like this
Open up your eyes or it's something you'll miss
"No matter how far you go down a broken road,
You can always turn around and head back home"
Like a boulevard, of broken dreams
Looking through a window and seeing what seems
To be, a hopeless man
Constantly getting smacked by the government's hand
Now I hold this quote true to my heart
I take every day life and make it a part
Committing myself, to take a leap
And forcing myself back up on my feet.
