And so we get to my fav part of the year- the time when I get to look back and see how I did~
This was the very first year I opened for commissions and before anything else, I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who invested their time, patience, and trust in me to bring their ideas to life! More than anything, learning the intricacies of commission work and sharing ideas with others was the single best thing about my art this year. I met so many cool people and made so many new friends, and I'm very excited to continue into 2023 :3. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! It was tough choosing pics this year since so many ended up being made ;o;
You may notice that April is a bit odd. It's no secret that my main job is teaching, and from March-June I took over a 60 student Grade 6 class from a teacher who had quit due to stress. A LOT of work had to be done to build the kids back up, and the effort drastically cut into my art time. However, I'm very happy to share that we ended that school year on a high note and I had to turn down a ton of job offers from administrators trying to rope me in to come back (I prefer to simply sub....LOL)! The picture is a placeholder from google for privacy reasons, but it helps to give an idea of the sort of vibe I was living in. I took on another temp contract in December when another teacher quit early, but that one was only 2 weeks long with a MUCH smaller amount of students. Wishing the best to all of em' in 2023, they did great work :)

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT, WATCHES, FAVS, FOLLOWS, VIBES, AND ATTENTION IN 2022!
It is hard being an artist, but the real work comes from our interaction together- what ends up on the canvas is just a reflection of the humans working behind it all- love you guys

Oh I bet you do prefer to sub, huehuehuehue~ ;P
Jokes aside all and all I think this may have been one of your best years yet as far as your work is concerned. Definitely happy I was present to see you work on and give feedback in person for one of these pieces, and it was a total blast. ^^
