And once more, I am posting art for the World of Elestra Forum thread. This here is Xanlaygis, the Cosmic Mutt, or in this case Mutty due to the fact his titles and names can be written and pronounced in many different ways. That, and also due to my incompetence in english grammar in general...
In any case, to summ up Xanlaygis character and backstory, he is a Cosmic Animal, which are cosmic entities that were either spawned by a cosmic egg that formed somewhere obscure on the multiverse, or their direct children. Xanlaygis used to be one of the most powerful Cosmic Animals, on top of being simulteniously the most feared and hated of them as well.
Why you all may ask? Because he was a delusional, self-rightous jerk that had a strong belief of "Only the worth/strong are entitled to survive" mentality, so he had the habit of flying close to inhabitat planets, creating a smaller yet still powerful avatar to test the planet's "worth" by pitting it against the inhabitants of said worlds, and if they failed to beat his avatar, Xanlaygis would destroy their planet.
Nedless to say, many planets have been destroyed as a result, and in fact, the existence of the World of Elestra can be technically be credited to him, as the planet used to be another Cosmic Animal that thought she had it in her to take on the Mutt, but she ultimetally bite more than she could chew, and she succumbed to her injuries. Elestra's corpse would eventually had life sprout out of it many years later after her death.
In spite of all of that, Xanlaygis does have some notable possitive qualities, as for as as delusional as his self imposed role of "Arbiter of Worlds Fate" may be , he has a code of honor in that he has legit respect to those that proved to be his equals and superiors, is in friendly terms with planets that managed to pass his "test" and indirectly assisted them on occassion, and he also has a Somewhat younger siter that he cares deeply.
Nonetheless, none of that negates or excuses his acts oif cosmic manslaughter, and lets just say that Elestra spirit did eventually managed to get her revenge on that dog and put a definitive end to his rampage....
